Principal's Message
Dear Cross Creek Families,
Cross Creek is a specialized educational setting within our district designed to support students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Our mission is to provide a structured, nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
We are proud to offer a rigorous academic program aligned with state standards, ensuring that every student receives high quality instruction tailored to their individual learning needs. We also strive to help student courses and credit recover and remediate in any areas in which they may have fallen behind. We know and believe that with strategies aligned to meet each child’s needs, they will succeed. In addition to academic excellence, our school integrates therapeutic service and evidence-based behavior interventions to support students in managing emotions, building positive relationships and achieving personal growth.
Our team of certified teachers, mental health professionals, and behavior specialists work collaboratively with families to create individualized plans that meet each student where they are and help them progress toward their goals.
We believe that with the right support, every child can succeed-and we are committed to helping our return to their zoned schools or to transition successfully to the next phase of their education or post-secondary school goals.
We are so excited to welcome every student to the 2025-2026 school year. Students are not required to wear uniforms but are asked to comply with the BCPS code of conduct dress code. We also can provide students with school supplies, but if your child would like anything specific, please have them bring what they prefer.
Our open house date is tentatively scheduled for August 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This time will be an opportunity to personally meet your child’s teachers.
As I am embarking on my thirteenth year as the proud Principal of Cross Creek, please never hesitate to contact me or any member of our team.
